How does eye-tracking work?

Realeyes Eye-tracking:

Realeyes uses leading edge Realeyes Eye-tracking systemeye- tracking hardware from Tobii and is the manufacturer's official data collection partner. Our eye-tracking systems are based on infra-red light technology and are completely unobtrusive, requiring no wires or head-mounted devices. Test participants can move freely without compromising the precision of the monitors.
 

Data collection:

Realeyes has pioneered a new highly-efficient model of data collection based on public locations. We are able to offer our clients fast, cost effective results using the most unbiased data samples. Our network of public collection centers spans both the US and Europe and covers a wide range of demographic profiles. On demand, Realeyes can also conduct testing at a client’s premises or alongside a traditional focus group.

Accurate visual attention analysis requires samples of 50 participants or more. Smaller samples can produce reports that are not as reliable. Why quantitative?
